Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Bread

Step 1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C/354°F.

Step 2.

Line and grease a loaf tin.

Step 3.

Mash the banana with the vegetable oil, light brown sugar, Dr. Oetker Vanilla Extract, and all but 1 tbsp of your peanut butter.

Step 4.

Roughly chop up 150g of your Dr. Oetker Very Dark Chocolate and peanuts.

Step 5.

Whisk the flour and Dr. Oetker Baking Powder in a bowl together. Add in the dark chocolate and peanuts (save a tablespoon of peanuts for later).

Step 6.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well.

Step 7.

Pour your batter into the loaf tin and sprinkle with the tablespoon of peanuts.

Step 8.

Bake for 45-50 mins. If your banana bread looks like it’s browning too much, top with foil after 30 mins.

Step 9.

Melt the saved peanut butter and chocolate to drizzle over the top. Cool to room temperature, then serve.

If your bananas aren’t yet ripe enough to mix, whack them in an oven heated to 180°C for 5 minutes until the skins are blackened and the middle is soft.

50ml Vegetable Oil
150g Smooth Peanut Butter
150g Light Brown Sugar
1 tsp Dr. Oetker Vanilla Extract
200g Dr. Oetker Extra Dark Chocolate
50g Peanuts
225g Plain Flour
3 Tsp Dr. Oetker Baking Powder
